Our Story

Started Side by Side,
in 2017.

Hi — we're Ron and Ronnie Melott, a father and son, and we own Mountaineer Tile & Remodeling. We started out in home renovation as subcontractors, working side by side. In 2017 we founded the company out of a passion for turning bathrooms and kitchens into spectacular spaces, and we've since expanded into flooring, cabinetry, and outdoor living.

Our experience in the contracting field runs deep, our faith runs even deeper, and we're proud to be creating a legacy for our family. We're a licensed Tennessee contractor (#79360), and we work out of a showroom at 3016 Brookside Drive in Kingsport where you can see tile, cabinet doors, and finishes in person rather than guessing from a screen.

We carry lines you can't get anywhere else locally — we're the only supplier of Emser Tile in East Tennessee and a Schluter Authorized Dealer — and we sell to builders and contractors as well as homeowners. As fellow installers, we use our own products.

Our goal is simple: help homeowners fulfil their dreams for their homes. If you can dream it, we'll make it a reality for you.
